The Edmond Sun, Edmond, Oklahoma

OKLA. CITY — Delaware Resource Group of Oklahoma LLC (DRG) has added several contracts within the past 60 days for software engineering services.

DRG is now contracted by several large defense contractors to provide software engineering and subject matter expert services. DRG is tasked with development and modifications of simulator training devices and virtual maintenance trainers for several U.S. Air Force and Navy aircraft along with other military programs.

The combined subcontracts exceed $2 million a year with options through 2020.

DRG has hired several new employees in the last several weeks and plans to hire an additional 10 to 15 to meet the requirements of the new subcontracts. The new employees will work from DRG’s offices in Jacksonville, Fla.; Salt Lake City and St. Louis.

“The diversification element of our business is a testament to the hard work of our team,” said Brian Busey, senior vice president and chief operations officer. “The added capability will augment and contribute to our overall long-term strategy.”

DRG anticipates future growth and new business opportunities from the recent subcontract awards.

“With the changing defense market, this is a good opportunity to diversify and expand our services,” said Phil G. Busey Sr., chairman and CEO of DRG.

Founded in 2002 by Busey Sr., DRG has become a leading defense and aerospace contractor in the United States. The company is a family-owned business operated by the Busey family and headquartered in Oklahoma City.
