DRG makes significant donations to veterans charities

OKLAHOMA CITY (November 18, 2024) – In honor of this country’s veterans, Delaware Resource Group of Oklahoma, LLC (DRG) has announced it will make significant donations to four veterans charities on behalf of its employees by year end.

DRG conducted a poll among its corporate employees, asking them to vote among a selected list of veterans organizations to choose which one would receive a contribution from the Oklahoma City-based company. With numerous votes for several of the charities, DRG leadership decided to increase the company’s total contribution and spread the money among four organizations.

“We are honored to be able to give back to the veteran organizations that have a lasting impact on so many of our employees. Allowing our team members to choose where contributions go is something very special,” said DRG Chief Executive Officer Brian Busey. “The legacy of giving back, instilled by our parents, Phil and Cathy who founded DRG, is a privilege we get to continue to carry on and hopefully makes a difference that our entire team can be proud of.”

The following is a list of the charities that will receive the donations on behalf of DRG employees:

  • Warriors for Freedom (warriorsforfreedom.org) – helps prevent veteran suicide through community programs.

  • Wounded Warriors Family Support (wwfs.org) – provides support to families of those who have been wounded, injured, or killed during combat operations.

  • Folds of Honor (foldsofhonor.org) – provides educational scholarships to the spouses and children of military members who have fallen or been disabled while serving in the United States Armed Forces.

  • Gary Sinise Foundation (garysinisefoundation.org) – established under the philanthropic direction of award-winning actor and humanitarian Gary Sinise to serve our nation by honoring our defenders, veterans, first responders, their families, and those in need.

These latest donations continue DRG’s long-standing support of active duty military and veterans and their families. Other ways DRG has given back to them include making continued financial contributions to the USO, sponsoring inaugural military appreciation initiatives and events with the Oklahoma Museum of Art and providing an initial financial contribution to the Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center for the development of art-based curriculum and activities specifically for active duty military and their families. In addition, DRG is a supporter of the Force 50 Foundation, in which DRG Vice President of Training Services Michael Haire Sr. serves on its board of directors.

“It is always important for us to take time to give back to our communities and to those organizations that have an impact on our workforce and beyond,” Busey said.

More than half of DRG’s employees are veterans. Founded in 2002, the company has become a leading global training service contractor specializing in the aerospace defense industry. DRG is owned and operated by the Busey family.
