OKLAHOMA CITY - Oklahoma’s Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), an agency of the U.S. Department of Defense, has awarded Delaware Resource Group (DRG) with the 2016 Pro Patria Award. The award is the highest honor a State ESGR committee can bestow on an organization. The award was given at an ESGR Banquet held Friday at the Oklahoma History Center.

Recipients who are honored with the award have demonstrated the greatest support to Guard and Reserve employees through their leadership and practices, including adopting personnel policies that make it easier for employees to participate in the National Guard and Reserves.

“It is a distinct and humbling honor for DRG to receive this award,” said Phil G. Busey Sr., chairman, founder and CEO of DRG. “There is nothing more inspirational then being able to support the finest military in the world in a small way and being chosen for that work.”

DRG is one of the leading aerospace defense contractors based in Oklahoma. Headquartered in Oklahoma City, the company employs over 650 people in over 40 locations around the world. Thousands of service men and women around the world count on DRG to provide critical training and logistics services for many of today’s modern military programs and aircraft.

DRG’s new corporate headquarters is under construction in the Quail Springs Corporate Park. The new 38,000 square foot facility is scheduled to open in August.

Oklahoma’s ESGR is comprised of dedicated and trained volunteers and staff. The ESGR develops and promotes employer support for Guard and Reserve service by advocating relevant initiatives, recognizing outstanding support, increasing awareness of applicable laws, and resolving conflict between employers and service members.

ESGR informs and educates Service members and their civilian employers regarding their rights and responsibilities governed by the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act of 1994 (USERRA).
